Audience
The target audience for Xsense’s Certification Program are project teams involved in development (landscape design, architecture, interior design), branding, marketing, and operations (GM, HR, food and beverage, retail, spa management, education, etc.).
Purpose
Xsense’s distinctive research method and collaborative engagement process creates place sustainability, leading to rooted customer experiences and deeper place connections, maximizing social, cultural, and financial value of real estate developments. The Xsense Certification Program immerses teams into the Xsense process and demonstrates how to best use Xsense’s unique research materials, maximizing the collaborative processes that helps create places that are deeply rooted in its place and connected to the local community and its history. The process does not stop with physical design. It carries the concepts and living brand through to marketing, sales, and operations to ensure.
Course Outline
This class is an introduction to experiential placemaking from the perspective of a developer, planner, architect, marketing, operations, and service providers—all of which make a place.
Developers aim to create places that create superior ROI, strengthen its brand, are sustainable and are authentic and meaningful to its users.
The pedagogy includes presentations by the instructor and guest speakers, class discussions, individual research assignments and presentation, and a final group process that simulates an actual development team.
This program invites participants from various developmental areas: planners, architects, designers, marketing, sales, operations (GM, food & beverage, event planning, fitness/wellness, programming & education, etc.)
